org/Home/JobPosting/1885448 and upload Letter of Introduction, Resume, and Reference Letter(s) Overview The Campus Supervisor, under the supervision of the site Principal, performs a variety of assignments and functions on campus in the areas of student supervision, classroom assistance and instruction, maintaining positive relations with the parent community and the public, and performs clerical office tasks.
The Campus Supervisor supervises the campus and surrounding area to help provide a safe and secure campus environment and ensures words, actions and duties support an inclusive environment for all students, adults and community members, where equity is paramount.
The Campus Supervisor is evaluated by the site Principal.

I.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
a.
Supervision:
Yard duty responsibilities at all breaks and passing times Bus duty in the school parking lot (am/pm), blacktop duty, crossing guard duties in the afternoons Supervise after school athletic events Accompany student groups and staff on school trips Coordinate lunch supervision, delegate responsibilities, and orchestrate a functional lunch supervision system Supervise student behavior and ensure that students are on task and demonstrate appropriate behavior outside the classroom Enforce school and district rules, regulations, and policies regarding student discipline b.
Safety and Security:
Observe, report, and intervene, when appropriate as follows:
safety and health problems, hazards, violations of school rules and regulations Intervene and report any activities of students or others considered to be dangerous or objectionable Carry out the procedures and actions of various safety drills (fire, earthquake, intruder) Patrol the school perimeter, corridors, parking lot, locker rooms, adjacent areas, and overall campus to ensure a safe environment c.
Clerical Duties:
Prepare and reproduce classroom materials as directed by teachers Sort and deliver mail and packages Organize, distribute, and manage all school supplies for staff and students File and sort office records and reports Operate audio/visual equipment Ensure all visitors appropriately sign-in and verify business on campus d.
Student Support:
Mediate student conflict as appropriate Monitor test taking and extended-time assignments Organize the Lost & Found Retrieve students from classes for dismissal When necessary, deliver school materials and messages to students in class e.
Staff Support:
Work closely with teachers to provide instruction to individual students and small groups Report to administration any violations of rules, referrals, and other disciplinary situations Assist in planning and supervising graduation and assemblies Refer students to support services when indicated Observe and report to nurse any medical related situations on campus II.
Knowledge of:
Basic computer skills Disaster Preparedness Plan Simple machinery and tools when indicated to use III.
Ability to:
Develop positive relationships and communicate clearly with young people and adults Provide leadership and support to students Help young people develop a positive self-image Uphold the words and values of the RUSD vision and mission Follow written and verbal instruction Understand and apply the rules, regulations, procedures and policies Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work Simultaneously handle multiple ongoing projects or processes Identify various drugs, alcohol, or weapons, and recognize symptoms and usage Assess potentially dangerous situations and take appropriate action Perform other duties as required IV.
Qualifications and Terms of Employment:
A high school diploma required Associates Degree, or 2 or more years of higher education preferred, CPR/AED Certification 3
years of extensive experience working with young people in an academic setting V.
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor instructional environments.
Physical Abilities:
Hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to monitor students; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate assigned equipment; bending at the waist to assist students; kneeling or crouching; ability to stand for long periods; ability to walk long distances; perform lifting, pushing and/or pulling which does not exceed 25 pounds; is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
Hazards:
Exposure to climatic elements and noise; potential for contact with blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases; frequent interruptions.
